Drenched Black is our softly-textured, but super-tough powder coat finish, available on custom road frames.
Industrial powder coating like this isn’t seen very often in bike manufacturing, but it’s a method that works brilliantly because of its durability. The powder is baked on in a massive oven, making it extremely strong and unlikely to get chipped away. It also gives it a gorgeous tactile feeling under the fingers.
Inspired by the grimness of urban winter riding, we designed Drenched Black for riding in the wet, so we spec the custom road bikes we build with mudguards, and stainless steel bottom bracket shell and chainstays – for rust protection in the most at-risk areas.
